Meet the Owner ~ Artist

Brigitte Wahlbeck is owner of The Union Knot.  She was born and raised in Southern California and attended beauty school in Palm Springs at Champion Institute of Cosmetology, she graduated in 1989, and has been a practicing Cosmetologist ever since. 

Brigitte practiced Cosmetology in Southern California after graduation and worked in Palm Desert on El Paseo Drive, and Palm Springs.  Her focus of training began with an apprenticeship learning to perfect the ever-popular blow-out and updo with the prestigious Palm Springs elite.   She later furthered her training in cutting techniques and ultimately ran her own salon business for 10 years in Palm Springs, specializing in precision cutting and foil weaving. 

In 2012, Brigitte and her husband Gary moved to Oregon, where she expanded her esthetician services to the bridal industry here on the Northern Oregon Coast. She travels extensively as a bridal Hair and Makeup Artist and has visited numerous Countries and States for her bridal clients.

Brigitte enjoys spending time with her husband, children, and grandchildren and feels the Ocean has called to her.  She knows living in this charming coastal community is a privilege that many only get to enjoy as visitors.  She has gained the best in family, friendship, and businesses that anyone could ever ask for and wants to make every day one to be creative and enjoy and bring the best out in the people around her.
